I had been looking forward to this for weeks but as I was riding to the venue, I got hit by a car and broke my leg – dammit !!!
I would LOVE to see videos of the the presentations PLEASE !

The talk feedback is valuable but it doesn’t have to be a vote. Perhaps people could SMS what they liked about presentations? Of course, they could also just talk face to face but I figure it’s good to provide as many channels as possible for expression

I agree with Cheryl and Stephen that the voting is not very useful, you’d do better to just let everyone present and listen to post-talk chatter / applause for an idea of what appealed to people.

It went really well, Campaign Monitor was glad to be involved and I personally learned a few things from the talk. Including that Americans can fit a lot more words into 5 minutes than the Aussies

Great effort… I expect you’ll get the A/C sorted out before the next one.

I think the time was right.. any earlier and it would have been trickier to get there on time.

Would be good to have more seating.. especially near the front, so it’s possible for everyone to see the screen better and not have to stand up for the whole time.

Over all a wonderful first effort.

I was not so bothered by the two part format of the evening, but perhaps starting a little earlier would assist those with commitments … or perhaps a Friday night ??

Presenters did a wonderful job with what is a new format for some.

Aircon should not be an issue with that venue in May.

Look forward to the next one and am already wondering what I could talk on.

I agree – all the talks were brilliant, so picking a winner is irrelevant.

Re: Ben’s point about bending the rules – I wasn’t too stressed with how people built their slides, since everyone abided by the spirit of the event.

The important thing is that the slides and talks have to be interesting – no arguments there!

After reading Ben’s comments, I’m wondering if you even need to vote for winners? All the speakers were brilliant, and I enjoyed them all, they were really high quality.

So do we need to vote on the “best” one? There were probably 5 or 6 that I thought were my favourite.

It’s nice to get audience participation, and a bit of healthy competition but I don’t know if there needed to be winners.

Just a thought…
